Maimonides’ is an inspiring example, who faithfully fulfilled his own Halachic ruling, that every Jew must promote truth and righteousness to all the nations of the world, bringing them closer to serving G-d, “with one common effort.”
Maimonides is celebrated as a master of Jewish law and philosophy. Not only do we learn from his scholarly writings, but from the life he led as well – a life dedicated to the physical and spiritual welfare of all people.
As a physician, his weekdays were spent treating his mostly non-Jewish patients. Only on Shabbos could he devote himself to addressing the Jewish community’s affairs. As a Halachic authority, Maimonides was the only codifier to elucidate the Seven Noahide Laws for all mankind.
